Dry brushing is a technique that involves using a bristle brush on dry skin to exfoliate and massage the skin. It is an ancient practice that has been used for centuries. Dry brushing your skin is a daily body massage with a dry, stiff-bristled brush that helps get rid of flaky skin, increase circulation, detoxify, help digestion– and even improve the appearance of cellulite.

The brush is rubbed over the body in a specific pattern, usually upward, toward the heart. Dry brushing is followed by a shower or bath.

Starting at the ankle, using long and consistent gentle brishing strokes, brush from ankle to knee going all the way around the calf/shin. Then move up and brush from knee to hip going all the way around the thigh. Start at the other ankle and repeat. When you have reached the hip begin brushing upwards from the hips to the shoulders and go all the way around the trunk. Always brushing towqrds the heart. Start at the wrists and brush upwardss from wrist to elbow and then from elbow to shoulder going all the way around.  Be sure to brush the arm pit areas, this is great to help flush stagnant lymph from these areas.

Follow your dry brushing with a shower or bath.

**If taking a bath, this pairs well with the Mineral Bath Salts to enhance relaxation.

**Apply castor oil packs after your bath to help flush tissue, decrease inflammation and enhance lymph flow.
